Your privacy matters. Here's how EDGE handles your data.
EDGE is a poker session tracking, bankroll management, and player development app. It helps you log sessions, study opponents, review analytics, and improve your game. EDGE does not simulate, facilitate, or enable gambling, card games, or wagering of any kind. No cards are dealt, no hands are played, and no money is exchanged through the app.
EDGE stores the following data locally on your device: poker session details (buy-ins, cash-outs, stakes, dates, durations, venue names, logged hands), player information (nicknames, photos, notes, tells), journal entries, study progress and streaks, tournament timer configurations, bankroll records, your profile (display name and email if provided), and app preferences. Photos you add for players or your profile are stored on-device only.
EDGE may request access to your camera and photo library to set player or profile photos. EDGE may request access to your microphone and speech recognition for voice-to-text journal entries — all speech processing happens on your device and no audio is transmitted to any server. EDGE may request permission to send notifications for daily poker tips. These permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings. EDGE does not access your GPS location — venue names are text you enter manually.
EDGE does not collect analytics or usage data, advertising identifiers, GPS or precise location data, contacts, or browsing history. There are no user accounts or authentication required to use the app.
All data is stored locally on your device. Your data may also appear in your device's iCloud backups if you have iCloud Backup enabled in iOS Settings.
You can export all your data (CSV or JSON) from Settings > Data & Backup. You can also import data from a JSON backup file to restore your sessions, players, journal entries, and settings. You can delete individual sessions, players, or all data from within the app. Uninstalling EDGE removes all stored data from your device.
Future versions of EDGE may offer optional cloud synchronization and user accounts to sync your data across devices. This feature will always be opt-in and under your control. If implemented, your data will be encrypted in transit and stored securely. You will be able to delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time.
Future versions of EDGE may include community features such as card room reviews, venue ratings, and shared player observations. Any data you submit to community features is voluntary and may be visible to other users. Community submissions are anonymous — your identity is never exposed to other users. You can delete your submissions at any time. All community content is moderated. Harassment, personal information sharing, and non-poker content are strictly prohibited.
EDGE offers a free Study Hub with flashcard quizzes across 12 poker categories and 3 difficulty levels. Your study progress — including cards studied, quiz scores, active study days, streaks, and earned badges — is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server. You can optionally enable Training Reminder notifications in Settings. These are local notifications scheduled on your device — no study data is sent to any server. You can disable reminders at any time. GTO Trainer quiz results (available with a premium subscription) are also stored locally. GTO Preflop Charts display static reference data with no usage tracking. When you request a Pre-Session Briefing, readable summaries of your recently logged hands may be included to help the AI identify patterns in your play. Hand summaries are only sent when you explicitly request a briefing and are not stored or used to train AI models.
EDGE offers optional AI-powered features: Scouting Reports, Pre-Session Briefings, and Journal Coaching. When you use these features, limited data is sent to a third-party AI processing service to generate your personalized results. Scouting Reports send player nicknames, notes, tells, play style, and session count. Pre-Session Briefings send aggregated session statistics such as win rate, profit, and stakes — no personal information. Journal Coaching sends your journal entry text, mood, and session statistics. This data is used solely to generate your results and is not stored, retained, or used to train AI models. AI features are optional and only activated when you explicitly request them. No data is sent without your action.
EDGE uses third-party cloud infrastructure to process AI features (Scouting Reports, Pre-Session Briefings, and Journal Coaching). Your IP address may be temporarily logged for rate limiting and abuse prevention. No analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used in the app. The EDGE website (edgepoker.app) uses Vercel Analytics for anonymous page view metrics. EDGE will never sell your personal data to third parties. If additional third-party services are added in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
EDGE offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and annual). All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. EDGE does not collect or store payment information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
EDGE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected within the app and the effective date above will be updated accordingly. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app before they take effect.
