No. EDGE is local-first. All your data stays on your device. No accounts, no sign-up, no cloud required. Your data is backed up to iCloud automatically if you have it enabled.
EDGE has three AI features: Scouting Reports analyze your notes and tells on opponents to generate strategy. Pre-Session Briefings prep you before you sit down using your session history, journal, and logged hands. Journal Coaching responds to your specific journal entries with targeted advice. All AI runs through a secure cloud function and your data is not stored or used for training.
The GTO Trainer quizzes you on preflop decisions against optimal ranges. Pick a scenario (raise first in, facing an open, vs 3-bet, push/fold), a position, stack depth, and game type. The trainer shows you a hand and asks what you would do. It tracks your accuracy over time.
During a live session, tap to log a hand street-by-street. Record hero and villain actions, board cards, bet sizing, and the result. Logged hands feed into your AI Pre-Session Briefing so the AI can identify patterns in your play.
Yes. The tournament timer uses Apple's Live Activity and Dynamic Island to show blinds, level, ante, and countdown right on your Lock Screen while your phone is locked. No need to unlock your phone to check the clock.

Yes. Open the app, go to the paywall, and select the annual plan. Apple handles the switch automatically and applies any prorated credit from your current billing period.
Go to your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > EDGE Poker > Cancel. Your premium access continues until the end of your current billing period.
AI features require an internet connection. If you're connected and still seeing errors, the service may be temporarily unavailable. Try again in a few minutes. If the issue persists, contact support at support@edgepoker.app.
Make sure Live Activities are enabled: go to iPhone Settings > EDGE Poker > Live Activities and make sure it's turned on. Also check that you tapped "Lock Screen" in the tournament timer view to start the Live Activity.
EDGE automatically backs up to iCloud. On your new device, install EDGE and it will prompt you to restore from iCloud. You can also manually export a JSON backup from Settings > Data Management > Export and import it on the new device.
Go to Settings in the app and change the language. EDGE supports 16 languages and switches instantly without restarting. The app defaults to your device language on first launch.
All your data is stored locally on your device. Session history, journal entries, player profiles, and study progress never leave your phone. The only time data goes to a server is when you use an AI feature, and that data is processed in real-time and not stored.
No. EDGE does not collect user analytics, usage data, or any personal information. We use Vercel Analytics on the website only (anonymous page views). The app itself collects nothing.
No. AI features use Claude by Anthropic. Your data is sent for real-time processing only and is not retained or used for model training. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
